Nahifî Süleyman Efendi (1645?-1738), son of the preacher Abdurrahman Şeyh Muhyî, seems to have had a good education; he served in various posts of the scribal service and was the scribe of Kavukçu Mehmed Paşa when the latter went to Iran as an ambassador in 1689. He also followed the second defterdar İbrahim Ağa during the peace negotiations in Passarowitz (1718).
Nasihatü’l-vüzerâ (“Counsel for Viziers”). He was also the author of numerous poetical and literary words.
